Stephen C. Krystek
Writer / Director / Editor
Stephen is an Arizona native
with a passion for filmmaking and an abiding
interest in the darker side of motion pictures.
Initially a gifted website designer, he began
making movies in 2006 with Not Quite Dead,
a short film about a group of friends besieged
by zombies. After founding the production
company Synthetic Human Pictures, he gathered
the talents of Hayden Blades and David Matteson,
eventually adding several others into the group
over the next couple of years. In addition
to commercials and documentaries, they have
created the short films Tip Jar, Drain,
Common Ground, and Pattern:Response,
all directed by Stephen.
Currently, Stephen is working
on a documentary about Paolo Soleri, following
the artist as he and his team design and build
their first bridge in Scottsdale, Arizona as
well as an on-going documentary about the history
of the NHRA.
